Christmas Food/Comida Navideña:

Menu:

Christmas' Eve/Noche Buena - 24 de Diciembre - Pata de Cerdo Asada (El pavo asado es la península) (or Puchero if you do not have a lot of wealth)

Christmas/Navidad - 25 de Diciembre - El Besugo (pescado) al Horno/Fish.

New Year's Eve/Noche Vieja - 31 de Diciembre - El Cordero al Horno/Roasted Lamb.   At 3 am or 4 am Onion's Soup is usually served.  It is a highly diuretic soup, good for cleansing the excess of a New Year's Eve party.  Spaniards usually party all night on such a special occassion, known to end the evening by going out for breakfast and then going home to sleep.  Some of the typical breakfast is "Churros con Chocolate."  Churros is a fried dough with sugar that is dunk in hot chocolate or coffee.  There are several different types enjoyed (i.e. - from Madrid, Canary Islands).  Spaniards enjoy this typical breakfast all year round.

Almendras Rellenas

Figuritas de Mazapán

Huesitos de Santo
